Poor weather had influenced the Hawkwatch at Beamer for the past few days, and although the count didn't record a bird until 11:20 today (probably due to flurries in the Buffalo area), a good flight was recorded. Totals were:
Red-tailed Hawk: 50 Red-Shouldered Hawk: 18 Turkey Vulture: 11 Sharp-shinned Hawk: 3 Coopers Hawk: 5 Northern Harrier: 1 Bald Eagle: 2 Golden Eagle: 2 Unidentified: 1 ----------------------------- Total: 93 The Golden Eagles were both Immatures, the first was seen at 1:30pm and the second at 2:11pm. One Bald Eagle was a full adult and the other was a 2nd year bird. The weather forecast for tomorrow (Friday Mar. 19th) looks good as well. Good Birding Brandon Holden 16 Hamilton, Ontario
