The snow revived a love for viewing bird and mammal tracks along the
pathways leading to Cranberry Marsh from Hall's Rd. today, March 8.
Along with the evidence of many songbirds were White-tailed Deer, Squirrels
and Ring-necked Pheasant.
On the niger feeders at the entry to the north pathway were 2 COMMON
REDPOLLS around noon today; also seen in the area were Junco, Robins,
N.Flicker, Cooper's Hawk, 3 N.Harriers, Swamp Sparrow, Song Sp., Tree Sp.,
N.Cardinal, Blue Jay, many Red-winged Blackbirds, Chickadees, House Finch,
Goldfinch, Downy Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, a few Grackles, Am.Kestrel
and many Red-winged Blackbirds.
The Snowy Owl has not been seen since last Friday.
On the waterfront at the base of Hall's Rd. were Buffleheads, Ring-necked
Ducks, Goldeneye and Scaups.

In southwest Whitby Hall's Rd. is 1 block east of Lakeridge Rd., running
south from Victoria St.

It would be great if any you could keep Saturday, March 20 open to assist
me --meeting at the southwest corner of the parking lot of the Pickering GO
station at 8AM (Liverpool Rd. at Bayly)---that's right -0800 hours, to bird
from Frenchman's Bay eastward along the waterfront, an outing scheduled by
the Pickering Naturalists.
