Hi Ontbirders

Bruce Di Labio and I took a quick look at the ducks in Presqu'ile Bay at
noon today. The highlight was a Snowy Owl which was sitting on a
floating island of ice offshore from Salt Point. Also flying around the
bay was a first-year Bald Eagle. Waterfowl included 122 Mute Swan, 45
Canada Goose, 850 G. Scaup, 250 Redhead, 250 C. Goldeneye, 12
Bufflehead, 700 L-t Duck, 20 Com. Merganser.

Directions: Exit Hwy 401 at the Brighton Exit (Hwy 30) and go south
through the town of Brighton. Follow signs to park, then stay left and
follow Bayshore Rd to Salt Pt.

Cheers,

Doug McRae
