The Northern Hawk Owl continues to be seen daily at the same location,
along Hwy 117 at the Bracebridge Golf Course. As well as being seen around
Baker's farm, it now has been see on all sides of the golf course and on a
spruce tree out in the middle. Today and yesterday it was found on the
north and east side of the golf course, best observed from Bonnie Lake Rd
which runs north from Hwy 117. At 3 pm today, Sat Jan 10, I was one of six
birders that watched it at close range on a pine tree on the east side of
Bonnie Lk Rd just south of the 2nd house. It flew and disappeared into some
spruce trees along Hwy 117 east of the corner.
Directions: Follow Hwy 11 north of Bracebridge to Hwy 117, go east on Hwy
117 towards Baysville. The Bracebridge Golf Course and Baker's farm is
2.5km from Hwy 11.
