Hello Ontbirders
The Black-headed Grosbeak was again present today December 19,
2004 at the feeder of Wayne Griese and Karen Richter. The grosbeak was
feeding once every hour or so and last observed around 12:30pm . The
feeder is easily visible from the road.
Directions: From Ottawa take Hwy. 417 west towards Arnprior and exit
at March Rd.. Turn left and follow road to Almonte. Go through the town
and turn right onto County Road 29. Follow road 10 km towards Pakenham
and then turn left on Cedar Hill Side Road and travel 4.3 km until you
reach a " T" intersection. Turn right and follow 6th Con. Pakenham
which turns into Bellamy Road for 2.2km. The house is at 339 Bellamy
Road.
