Terrie Smith and I decided to avoid chores and sit in our back yard from 11 to 2 today to watch the hawk migration overhead. We counted the following:
Red-tailed Hawk - 229 Rough-legged Hawk - 3 [2 light and one dark phase] Cooper's Hawk - 1 Northern Harrier - 1 [M] Golden Eagle - 3 [2 juvenile, one adult] I also had a Blue-headed Vireo in the yard yesterday.
