Birders,

The Western Sandpiper was still present at Sturgeon creek this afternoon in the very NW corner. the bird may be viewed behind the Pelee Days Inn.

For those of you that are asking about Mondays Franklin's Gull the answer is no.. I have not seen this bird since. A rule of thumb for everyone about Hillman Marsh.-- is when the water level is high the bird activity is low... and when the water levels are low the bird activity is high. So the past couple of days it has rained ...you guessed it. The bird may be in the fields adjacent to the marsh or Wheatley Harbour.

As for the imm. Yellow-crowned Night Heron... no luck, all I could find was a imm BCNH which allowed me full frame shots!

Good Birding,

Dean Ware
