Winds were light to moderate west-northwest. Observations: The flight was spread out over a broad front for much of the day but with plenty of birds flying right over the count area. For anyone wanting to get good looks at Red-shoulders, this would have been the day to be at the watch as many early on were low overhead and close. Seems that the age structure trend in this species skewed to a large proportion of adults is continuing as recorded in previous seasons. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
