Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 16:30:00
Total observation time: 9.5 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Jeff Schultz, Mary Cypher

Weather:
Today was a cloudless day with early morning fog and haze that very
gradually burned off over the course of the watch. Winds were light
south-southeast.

Observations:
The flight was spread over the whole of the sky with birds generally being
difficult to pick out in the clear blue and heavy haze. A considerable
movement of Accipiters including the first Northern Goshawk of the fall,
an adult, dominated the day. An additional highlight was an adult light
morph SwainsonÂ’s Hawk. We seem to be having a banner year in regards to
this species.
