Greetings Ontbirders, I just did a quick check of the beach at Presqu'ile and saw one imm. Forster's Tern with about 20 Bonies flying in Pompham Bay, off from Beach 2. There may also be a Common Tern too but most of the time they were quite far out. There were also several flocks of Bonies feeding way out in the lake south-west of Owen Pt. but they were so far away it was impossible to see if other goodies were mixed in. Also seen were two adult Peregrine's, an immature Cooper's, a dozen Sharpies and two harriers - all within 45 minutes at Owen Pt. so it looks like it will be a good raptor day. Perhaps the most unusual find was seeing an Eastern Chipmunk running around at waters' edge on the tip of Owen Pt.?!
Cheers, Doug McRae Directions: To reach Presqu'ile take the Hwy 30 exit from Hwy 401 and travel south through the town of Brighton, and follow the signs for the Park.
