Hi there,

A visit to the Townsend Sewage Lagoons tonight revealed a nice variety of
shorebirds including a Buff-breasted Sandpiper, Wilson's Phalarope, 2
Red-necked Phalaropes, a half dozen Stilt Sandpipers, and a Golden Plover.
Perhaps 300 shorebirds in all. Also 2 visiting Americans, Shawn and Vicki
were seen but also observed to leave the area. Hope you enjoyed your dinner!

To reach Townsend Sewage Lagoons, Take Hwy 6 south past Caledonia,
turn right at the sign indicating Townsend. At the 4-way stop in
Townsend, turn left, then right at the road just before the abandoned
railway line. The lagoons are on the right -- park well clear of the
entrance.
