It's certainly cooling off good at night...might just get the birds moving down from the northern regions. Winds from the N although not that strong. Observations: First Broad-winged Hawks (a total of 18) and a Merlin for the 2003 season!! Not bad for an early fall timeframe and I'm sure just a hint of more to come. Other species seen included Osprey, Harriers, Sharpies and Kestrels. Lots of Monarchs and dragonflies are moving through along with a pile of Hummingbirds. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch: Oldest Hawkwatch in Ontario - since 1931 - located just east of Port Stanley on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie [EMAIL PROTECTED] Visit http://www.ofo.ca/ontbirdsguide.htm for information on leaving and joining the list.
