Northwesterly winds brought several counters away from work this day;
unfortunately they should have stayed well into the afternioon---
exhibitions by Kestrels, Peregrines and Osprey were pleasures to see.

After 8 hours I left with the counting still going) we had:
6 Osprey, 1 with fish
28 Sharp-shinned Hawks
2 Cooper's Hawks
4 Red-tailed hawks
62 Am.Kestrels
3 Peregrines

A WHITE-BACKED TUSSOCK MOTH caterpillar was very much a hit.

Cranberry is at the foot of Hall's Rd. in southwest Whitby, accessed south
from Victoria St.
