Dear Fellow Birders

Went down to Cootes Paradise with Seabrooke Leckie today to look for the White
Pelican and were lucky enough to see it from Princess Point. It was over by
then Rat Island and flew down to the western end of the marsh. So it might be
advised to check from different vantage points if it cannot be seen from
Princess Point. Also seen were a 1st year Bald Eagle, 2 Osprey, and a Great
Egret.

Directions: Exit the 403 in Hamilton at Main St, then turn left at the first
set of lights, Dundurn Ave. Then left again onto King St, and cross over the
403 and then make a right onto Mackin Ave. Follow this to its end and there is
a parking lot. From there you can take a trail to the north and simply look
over the marsh in the openings in the vegetation.
