Ontbirders After an inexplicable dip in numbers of birds over the last week, shorebirds seem to be increasing again at Presqu'ile. A beach walk this evening provided at least 15 Baird's Sandpipers. Also present were 12 Lesser Yellowlegs, Least and Semipalmated Sandpipers as well as Black-bellied and Semipalmated Plovers. Birds were seen from Beach 3, south to the viewing platform and all the way to Owen Point. Good numbers of unidentifiable shorebirds were seen flying about the north shore of Gull Island. Hopefully, tonight's winds will bring more birds. Directions to Presqu'ile are well-signed south of Brighton. Don Shanahan Brighton
