Hi Birders Today Sat. Aug.23, 2003 Stan Bajurny and I did our usual Long Point and area birding and we did quite well with birds from Hummingbirds to Sandhill Cranes but it is late and I will concentrate on the subject bird.
On the sod fields about 8 am this morning we found behind the public school on Unity Road among the 77 Killdeer and 1 Black-bellied a lone Buff-breasted Sandpiper. Norm Murr Richmond Hill, ON [EMAIL PROTECTED] DIRECTIONS UNITY ROAD & SCHOOL On the way down to Caledonia & Hagersville on Hwy 6 south of Hamilton you will pass Airport Road at Mt Hope. Continue on past Chippewa and Leeming Roads and just one more road past the next road (Haldibrook Road) is Unity Road. Turn right on Unity and in less than 1 km you will arrive at a school on your right. Park here and go behind the school and across the playing field to the fences ahead or on your right and scan for Plovers, Buff-breast SP, etc. Be careful and ask permission if school is in progress and especially if children are present behind the school.
