Dear Ontbirders,

About 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (Saturday) we saw a juvenile Willet on the Lake Erie shore at Kraft Road in Fort Erie. There were many shorebirds at this location including several molting adult Black-bellied Plovers. Thanks to the female birder from New York State who told us about the Willet. Directions: Heading west on Highway 3 in Fort Erie, turn left on Kraft Road and continue to the lake.

Earlier at Rock Point Provincial Park there were several juvenile Baird's Sandpipers, juvenile Short-billed Dowitchers, molting adult White-rumped Sandpipers and we had our first juvenile Sanderlings and juvenile Ruddy Turnstones of the year. We also saw two Giant Swallowtail butterflies between Rock Point and Fort Erie.

Happy shorebirding,
