The following shorebirds were in the Onion Fields outside of Point Pelee
National Park this evening between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

American Golden-Plover - 26
Black-bellied Plover - 1
Killdeer - lots
Pectoral Sandpiper - 4
Least Sandpiper - 9
Baird's Sandpiper - 2
Semi-palmated Sandpiper - 5

The onion fields are accessed by the eastern extension of Mersea Road D (the
second one north of the Point Pelee gates) east of Road 19. The first half
of the road is a public right-of-way, just watch out for wagons full of
onions.
