Hi Birders, A few migrant warblers have been trickling through Rondeau Provincial Park. Today I observed on South Point Trail, a Blackpoll, Canada, Northern Waterthrush, and Chestnut-sided (all immatures). The past week revealed several Black-and-White, a Blackburnian, Northern Parula and a Blue-winged. Shorebirds far out south point beach included 9 Sanderling, 5 Least Sandpiper, 10 Spotted SP, and 2 Baird's SP. Shorebird habitat is almost non-existent on the Bay due to weed growth and higher water levels.
Apparently the REEVE was still at Blenheim Lagoons this morning. South Point trail begins at the southerly end of Lakeshore Rd. in the Park. ________________________________ Blake A.
