Hello,

This afternoon Gord Lewar and I found 4 Prairie warblers singing in
different areas of the Prairie warbler colony near Turkey Point Provincial
Park. We also watched a Northern Goshawk fly over the same area.

Directions: From the intersection of Regional Road 10 and Lakeshore Rd.,
(which is just north of the town of Turkey Point) go west about one
kilometre on Lakeshore Rd. and turn right. Follow this gravel road about
half a kilometre till you reach a trail on the left hand side (east). This
trail leads to an open habitat that had at least 2 birds. Another was found
further north on the gravel road another half kilometre on the east side,
while the last was found further north still, across the paved road in
another secondary growth area. There may be other birds in the area since
it's a large area.
