EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE first observed at 9:30a.m. in the area of the
Marysville Church on highway 2. It was seen on top of the church and on top
of the house just west of the church and was seen twice on the north side of
the highway on the hydro lines as well as the spruce trees at the house
across from the church. It was later relocated at 10:30a.m. with Albert
Boisvert. The bird called frequently.
Also birded Carden Plain, but Mother Nature prevented the YELLOW RAILS from
calling. Did hear 2 SEDGE WRENS though.

Take 401 Hwy to exit 566 and go south on Hwy 49 to Old Hwy 2 and then right
on Hwy 2, for 2.7 km. to the
Marysville Catholic Church.

>From Kirkfield on Highway 48 east of Lake Simcoe, proceed north on County
Road 6. At 2.6 km past the Kirkfield Lift Lock, turn right (east) on McNamee
Road where County Road 6 turns sharply to the left. Then turn left almost
immediately on Wylie Road. Proceed north.

Good Birding
