Hello All

After closer examination it was determined that the previously reported
GLOSSY IBIS (by Ed LeBlanc), present on the lawn south of the Pelee Days
Inn, is in fact, a WHITE-FACED IBIS - a new species for the Pelee Birding
Area. I left the bird about 20 mins ago, at this time is was again on the
lawn SOUTH of the Pelee Days Inn. However, the bird was also seen at on
the lawn west of the Krause Fishery building and in the Sturgeon Creek
marina on a mud flat. The bird has white feathering behind the eye,
distinctly red legs, red flesh between the bill and the eye and a bright
red eye.

Pelee Days is in located on the Bevel Line, south of County Road 20. From
HWY 401 take the HWY 77 exit south to Leamington. Continue through the
town of Leamington on the same road until you reach the last set of stop
lights (you will go through 9 sets). At the last set, turn left on
Seacliff Drive (CTY RD 20). Drive approximately 1 km east on this road,
the third turn on the right is Bevel Line (this is the road to Point Pelee
National Park)

Good Birding!
Sarah
