Sunday morning saw the return of the Vesper Sparrow to the
Elora-Cataract trailway west of Hillsburgh.  This little group of birds
has been breeding here since at least 1990.  They are located about 500
m east of the intersection of the trail and the 5th line of Erin, north
of Station road.  Other birds seen on the trail today include 7 other
species of sparrows (Song, Tree, Savannah, Chipping, White-throated,
Field, and Dark-eyed Junco.  There was also a Barn Swallow and a singing
Yellow-rumped Warbler.
