I am in an apartment at the top of 361 Front St. W., just east of 373 Front St. W. near the corner of Spadina in downtown Toronto. I just heard a bird screaming. Before I could get my bins it stopped. But I kept looking and there was a Peregrine over its kill (starling size) on the roof of 373 (which is below the apt. I am in) at the edge. The Peregrine had 2 bands that I saw (it is fairly dark now). I don't know if I disturbed it but the Peregrine left, the kill still on the edge.
The roof of the building is stoney. Maybe Common Nighthawks will nest there. Sandra Eadie, Toronto "AEadie" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Visit http://www.ofo.ca/ontbirdsguide.htm for information on leaving and joining the list. As well as general information and content guidelines.
