Late this afternoon I glanced out the window of my office at Stelco's Hamilton (formerly Hilton) Works, to see a large white bird flying towards me. To my great surprise, it turned out to be an AMERICAN EGRET, which flew by directly overhead. The egret was flying along a line from Pier 4 towards Windermere Basin (the easternmost portion of Burlington Bay/Hamilton Harbour).
