At the manured field best described in a earlier post from me on Heritage
Road, the mixed flock of Snow Buntings, Horned Larks and at least three
Lapland Longspurs were there again this afternoon around 3 pm. Then shortly
after that a Merlin took a run at them putting them all up and away. I don't
think this was the same Merlin I saw a week or so ago by the Brampton
Airport on McLaughlin Road although it could have been. The two locations
are about 7 or 8 kilometers apart from one another but merely minutes apart
for a Merlin.
