Rory's Mar. 1 report is quoted as received early March 2:

"While driving south along highway 15 today march 1st, about two kilometres
north of where one first comes upon Otter Lake (going south) I saw a Great
Gray Owl sitting on a overhead wire beside the highway. Sorry I don't have
any other details but thought you might want to know. Have any others been
reported on Ont Birds?"

Directions by Bob Sachs:

Take Exit 623 north from 401 Hwy leading onto Hwy 15. Follow Hwy 15
northeast to Crosby and continue another 16.5 km to Bass Rd. which marks the
south end of Otter Lake (Otter L. is northwest of Hwy 15 at this point)
Otter L. is about 10 km. long. The north end of Otter Lake is even with the
intersection of Hwy 15 and Otter Lake Rd. Closest Large Town, Smith's
Falls. (I found later that my earlier directions could not be used by
OntBirds for technical security reasons.) Hopefully this will get through
and others will relocate the OWL..

I spent 3 hours in the above area this morning (Mar. 2). I examined the
terrain on both sides of Hwy 15 from Old Kingston Rd. to Kelly's Rd. (2
loops) and drove most of the sideroads. I was unable to find the OWL.
