NatureGreetings all!

Friday was a great day for ducks around the Canada Centre for Inland Waters:
Hundreds of ducks in front of our breakwall, but there were thousands (it
seemed) behind the breakwall that we couldn't see.

Red-necked Grebes (at least 6)
Red-breasted Merganser (at least 6)
Coot (4)
White-winged Scoter
Long-tailed duck 50+
Canvasback
Redhead
Ring-Necked Duck
Scaups
Common Goldeneye
Bufflehead
Mallards, Canada Geese, Mute Swans, Trumpeter Swans and various Gulls

The Canada Center for Inland Waters is in Burlington under the QEW Niagara
Skyway Bridge off of Eastport Drive. You can see most birds from the
channel and sometimes around the man-made islands, but you can't access the
back of CCIW without special clearance--sorry! The Liftbridge should be
working sometime this month.
