At 4:00PM a juvenile (1st year) Bald Eagle flew over LaSalle park. At about 5:00 PM it returned swooped on the Mallards north of the wharf then landed on the frozen bay. After a few minutes on the ice it flew to a tall dead tree on the shore 200 yards north of the wharf. It was easily viewed and photograhed from shore below its perch. At about 5:15 PM it flew to a tall Pine tree 100 yards to the south west. This bird had significant wear to its feathers.
