Hi all, I had an adult Bald Eagle flying over the dam in Caledonia Saturday morning. Caledonia has the only open water on the Grand River from Brantford to the lake. Also, while freezing my you know what building an ice rink at 12 am most nights, I have been kept company by two Great Horned Owls. While bringing in my hose, I startled a small, probably Screech Owl, that was hunting by my bird feeder. I also seem to be feeding two Cooper's Hawks and a Sharpie. There has been a flock of about 50 Cedar Waxwings in the area most of the winter....49...a Merlin caught one last week.
To get to Caledonia....drive south on Hwy. 6 from Hamilton (15min.). I saw the Eagle from the bridge over the river in town. Enjoy, Greg Greg Salter Caledonia [EMAIL PROTECTED] "greg salter" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
