Ontbirders:
After viewing the Hawk Owl at 7.45 am, drove to Hendrie Valley and saw Lincoln's, Song & White-throated sparrows with the Catbird;  Kingfisher, Wood Duck & Green-winged Teal at Desjardins Canal;  then at 12.45 pm arrived at Pier # 26 as the heavily streaked Snowy Owl flew over from the lake towards Hamilton Harbour. Also, great views of Surf and White-winged Scoters off Grays Road.
Directions: Hendrie Valley is off Plains Road opposite Woodlawn Cemetary near the turn-off for the Royal Botanical Gardens. Desjardins Canal is opposite Cootes Paradise off York Road in Dundas. Pier # 26 is off Eastport Drive along Hamilton Harbour ( adjacent to the Q.E.W. ). Grays Rd. is off the North Service Rd. running parallel to the Q.E.W. to Niagara just past Hamilton in the town of Stoney Creek.
