Hello Ontbirders,

The SPOTTED TOWHEE first reported as being seen on the Cambridge CBC on
Sunday, 15 December, and last reported on ONTBIRDS on 20 December, was
located again during the noon hour (Sunday, 19 January) on Cruickston
Charitable Research Reserve (CCRR) during an outing hosted by Cruickston
for the Guelph Field Naturalists. After spending the morning looking
for BALD EAGLES (2 observed), we checked the area where the towhee was
last seen and were successful.

There are no public trails on this section of the Reserve; however, both
the tenant and CCRR again have give permission for birders to accompany
me, Bill Wilson, to view the bird. If you are interested in seeing this
bird, please e-mail me [EMAIL PROTECTED] This week, I am available
both Tuesday (21 January) and Thursday (23 January) mornings before 10
a.m. I will meet you in the Garden Gate parking lot at 8:45 a.m.
Directions below:

Directions to Blair-Cambridge (5 minutes from 401): Take 401 Highway to
Exit 275 (Doon/Blair). You will be driving towards Blair-Cambridge on

Fountain Street bridge over the Grand River. Turn right on Blair Road,
driving immediately into the Village of Blair on Blair Road. [See page
