Hi All,
My wife Judy Smith, freqently known as "eagle eye", spotted a Northern
Goshawk from within our home at Big Cedar Estates at Hawkestone. We observed
the Goshawk for 30 minutes using both binoculars and spotting scope; making
the most of our Florida Room for observing and comfort. After 30 minutes it
flew off to the north, but still providing scope observation. There it
remained for another 75 minutes perched in a tree. The bird would have been
very close to the 13th Line and Bass Lake Side Road. and close to Bass Lake
Provincial Park. Luckily another birder(Gord Luker) was phoned and was able
to observe as well.
