Hi Mankamana I believe all the route types for MVPN multicast control plane exists in EVPN as well but with all different numberings.
MVPN has: RT-6 and RT-7 for shared and source tree. EVPM has: RT-10 S-PMSI AD Route type for S,G and *,G states So the ASM or SSM IGMP join would be carried in the EVPN corresponding route type. There have been a lot of EVPN route types added since RFC 7432. RFC 9469 lists all the EVPN route types in section 4.1. Hope that helps Kind Regards *Gyan Mishra* *Network Solutions A**rchitect * *Email gyan.s.mis...@verizon.com <gyan.s.mis...@verizon.com>* *M 301 502-1347* On Tue, Jan 16, 2024 at 4:20 PM Mankamana Mishra (mankamis) <mankamis= 40cisco....@dmarc.ietf.org> wrote: > Authors, WG > > > > Can we add an explicit statement in the spec about what to do with > multicast control packets in the EVPN domain? > > > > 1.
