Blogs work that way because they are different beasts. Most often each post will
stand alone as the latest entry, and will quote anything they need to refer to.
Regular readers will most often just want to see the latest item. Most
importantly they are not threaded by topic.

Messages that are about a programming language and often contain actual code
need to be managed much more carefully. It is bad enough that most email clients
don't conform to line wrapping standards, but playing with an alternating jigsaw
of code fragments is not good for the brain and is to be discouraged.

Posts here should be either interleaved or bottom posted
