The list is set up as it is. No doubt there is a configuration option in
the list management to make it behave more like you prefer, but that
involves messing with the header fields, like: inserting a Reply-To, but
after copying any existing value of a Reply-To into the new From (but
only of the e-mail address part and not the comment part, the comment
part should survive; and probably only of the first address because
there could be more), and after renaming the existing From to
X-Original-From, etc., etc.

Many things can go wrong there, also because it is on purpose not all
strictly defined, so why want it?
Further, you can probably set up your mail client to override the reply
to be reply-to-list (for any single mailbox, or even for all list
related mailboxes).

Subscribers that don't want to receive direct reactions, can show that
by putting the list address in the Reply-To.
