I'm certainly not the list-mom, and you're right in that people can 
express themselves however they like, no matter how infantile. 

But if someone is coming to a list looking for help, it certainly can't 
help to at least try to come across as an adult. "any1" and "tks" do not 
come across as grownup spelling.

People don't have to use conventional spelling to write to this list, 
but if you're going to write that way, you shouldn't be surprised if you 
get no help, or aren't taken seriously. 

But I'm not setting the rules, just hoping to steer us away from this 
mutilated, stunted, juvenile, incomprehensible version of English. Feel 
free to write like a teenage dropout if you think that's wise to do.
