Writing Perl one-liners or playing GOLF is where we strive to reduce the typing in Perl -- not a beginners list. Perl already has a bad reputation as a "write only" language. Here clarity, if not out-right verbose-ness, is classed for if anyone hopes to maintain international clarity -- some posters may not speak or write "English" as their naive tongue and we need to avoid any misunderstandings. I myself, years ago, took stupid offense to another poster's repeatedly saying HAND at the end of each "argue-mental" thread. -- WC -Sx- Jones http://insecurity.org/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <http://learn.perl.org/> <http://learn.perl.org/first-response>
