Beau, Perhaps then my question would have been better to ask on the CGI list. The script in question is a CGI script being executed through Internet Explorer and Apache. When the first line of my script is "#!perl", the script executes as desired. When the first line is "#!usr/bin/perl", the result is an Internal Server Error page and a message in the log file that says that the child process can't be spawned.
