Look at: http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/ in particular the top of the page: nms as recommended by Matt Wright --------------------------------- ... While the free code found at my web site has not evolved much in recent years, the general programming practices and standards of CGI programs have. nms is an attempt by very active programmers in the Perl community to bring the quality of code for these types of programs up to date and eliminate some of the bad programming ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ practices and bugs found in the existing Matt's Script Archive code. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I would highly recommend downloading the nms versions if you wish to ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ learn CGI programming. The code you find at Matt's Script Archive is not representative of how even I would code these days. You've obviously gone to the wrong place for your script... nms is a collection of drop-in replacements - with better security, documentation and support to boot. If you are not convinced yet, further down the nms page: "The scripts are well known amongst the Perl community to be badly written, buggy, and insecure. Anyone asking for support on Matt's scripts in any forum will be told in no uncertain terms that they shouldn't use his scripts." Worth upgrading huh? Well, this passage implies the following statement from me is mandatory: Absolutely, positively, definately and unquestionably do not use the original Matt's scripts!!! There, I'm happy now :) Take care, Jonathan Paton ===== s''-//--/\\///|-\/\|--\--/-\-/\-//\-|/\\\|/\///|-\--\\\\', s''/-\\\/|///|-|/|/--\--/--//\|\/\||/|/-/\\\-/\///|-\-\-', y'|\/-'3210',$_=join qq\\,map{s|2|10|||s|3|11|||s|^|0|;$_} m|.|g;map{print chr unpack'N',pack'B32','0'x24 .$_}/.{8}/g __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
