The question is what should a beginners FAQ look like? I bet if anyone started writing one he would find himself banging his head against the wall and crying RTFM RTFM RTFM ... pretty soon. > The FAQs on perl.com are the same that are available in the > distribution that are available from the perldoc command --- which are > next-to-useless for a true beginner (which is who this list is trying > to serve). True beginner should RTFM. Noone's going to rewrite Learning Perl and put a BEGGINER'S FAQ title on it. If the beginner doesn't understand something he read, he can come and ask. But it the answer requires three pages of text ... There are too many possible questions and misunderstandings and the answers would have to be terribly long. If the PERL FAQ is not beginner enough for you, do yourself a favor and buy a book. > My point about the Roman Numerals is... How many times has someone > asked that question on this list?
