I confess I had not heard of dwimperl before. I am trying to stay open-minded about it, but from what I see on its webpage it has a major focus on Having "The" Packages You "Must" Have (especially given its inclusion of Task::Kensho, which goes even further in that direction). Granted many of them are powerful and desirable, but the direction with respect to Strawberry Perl seems to be toward less flexibility rather than more.
