way-back machine' & the minutes of meeting 1789b were accepted as 'the
mini-meeting'

the VP had nothing fannish to report

the President had nothing fannish to report, except he got sick over the
holidays.  He did say 'hi' to Jason, visiting us for the first time & a fan
of philosophy, who found us through Meet-up.com - & also said 'hi' to
Brand-X, another Jason, visiting us again after a long absence

Lisa announced that Jacqueline Lichtenberg's husband Salomon had died

Yochanan announced that today would have been the birthday of the deceased
actor, Aron Eisenberg, who played Nog on DS9

Reviews:

Rick reviewed the 3 novels in Liu Cixin's 'Remembrance of Earth's Past'
trilogy:  'Three Body Problem', 'The Dark Forest' & 'Death's End'.  He
finds the written series very thought provoking and 'chewy' & recommends
the Chinese TV adaptation in favor of the Netflix version

Yochanan reviewed 'Mufasa: The Lion King', as a prequel that is pretty
good.  He commented that the animated animals have facial expressions now &
rates it as worth matinee

           And Yochanan reviewed a Netflix show, 'Squid Games, season 2',
as a violent dystopian survival thriller from South Korea.  He prefers the
subtitled version to the dubbed and says the 7 episode 'season' ends in a
cliff-hanger that he highly, highly recommends.

           And Yochanan reviewed the mock-u-mentary series 'What We Do in
the Shadows' as one of the funniest things you will ever see on TV.  He
enjoyed all 6 seasons so very much & highly recommends it.  Rick also
enjoyed it.

Robin watched Apple TV when it was offered for free, seeing & now reviewing
'Schmigadoon' [season one] & 'Schmicago' [season two] as a good musical
comedy series.  She recommends seeing the series

Lisa reviewed 'ST Lower Decks' as she has been enjoying the episodes
immensely & just wished it continued.  There were multiple follow-ons,
including that there will be comics following the series & various comments
about how much the series was enjoyed by all

           And Lisa also reviewed the Youtube channel that is collecting Dr
Who Classic series episodes & recommends it.  Collected episodes are from
