He says there is no 3-D version deliberately; & he reviewed a book, 'Time Travel for Love and Profit' by Sarah Lariviere, as a YA novel with a time travel gimmick that was well done. He found the book to be a page turner & highly recommends it; & he reviewed 'Brian & Charles' from 2022 as a charming & quirky film about a rural inventor who builds a self-aware robot. He thinks it was a very fun movie & highly recommends it, saying it's on Amazon Prime right now, & while it is a slow-paced, quaint little movie, he really loved it; see = https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/brian_and_charles & he reviewed the 1999 movie version of 'My Favorite Martian' as absolutely dreadful, despite having a wonderful cast. Both she & Harold loved it - and it will show tomorrow & Wednesday & is part of their Summer Festival, is showing in many movie theatres Gayle reviewed Silicon Valley Shakespeare as they accept donations & she highly recommends this, because they are quite good John O reviewed 'Fast X' as a fantasy film that violates the laws of physics. He found Jason Momoa delightful as the actor chewed up the scenery. John rates it as 'turn off your brain fun' & warns there is a cookie in the credits, plus hints at a 'Fast X i' sometime in the near future - & rates it as worth using their movie passes to see it; & he reviewed the live 'Little Mermaid' as having good singing, but in many cases the staging was much better in the animated Disney original. He felt the acting was quite good & overall worth full price; Kennita commented that she also thought the acting was wonderful & also recommends it; & he reviewed an Amazon Prime movie called 'Attack the Block', as aliens attack the 'worst neighborhood in London' & the movie is a bit gory & full of profanity with really nasty aliens & not particularly funny see = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_the_Block 90% on the Tomatometer & not particularly recommended Sandra reviewed Greg Bear's 'Eon', as a book full of details that did very little to help describe what was happening & she was not overly impressed, even though she liked the science in the book https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eon_(novel) First novel in series "The Way". Lynn reviewed Amazon Prime's 'Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets' on Amazon Prime, a 'docuseries' about the TLC reality series '19 Kids and Counting' - as like watching a slow-motion train wreck https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiny_Happy_People:_Duggar_Family_Secrets (4 episodes) we adjourned at 9:11pm and the rumor of the week was = 'BASFA, to be continued....' -- ******************* She/whispered/'Oh/my/goodness/what/are/all/these/squirrels/doing/here?' melc...@gmail.com *******************
