ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Ken weirdly announced that the Legion of Rasselon met LAST Friday &
apologized for not having announced it last week

Yochanan announced that the Ren Faire is currently going on at Casa De
Fruta until November 23, every weekend & he announced that the Amazon
series 'Paper Girls' has been cancelled, but is being shopped around & he
announced that Jupiter is as close as it will be for the next hundred years
this coming week; & Gerry follow on'd that Jupiter's closeness will be
imperceptible & there was some telescope & trivia chat

Gerry announced NASA successfully hit the asteroid it was aiming at today &
slightly changed its momentum & it was the first instance of mass beam
propulsion used for space travel, even on a small scale

REVIEWS:

Yochanan reviewed the new season finale episode of 'Westworld' as he still
enjoyed the series, even if it ended not quite as he would have liked; Rick
followed that the series is on HBO & he has also enjoyed it;
Yochanan also reviewed 'See How they Run', a murder mystery with
reference to 'The Mousetrap' - a play in continuous performance since 1952
- as somewhat enjoyable;
Yochanan also reviewed the Disney Plus series 'Andor' as pretty good.
It's making him enjoy & get interested in the Star Wars universe & the
series has a lot of potential; Craig agreed that with every new series,
there is more complexity and stuff to remember, but still loves it all.

Craig reviewed the original 'Max Headroom' as it stood up well to the
passage of time & compared the American version as almost a frame by frame
copy of the original with only minor changes. He is amazed at how iconic
the series was & how it affected society of the time

Misunderstood Joke on TV"

Gayle reviewed ChiCon as she saw the sights, attended parties and saw old
friends. She found the paper schedule was the only reliable guide for what
was happening at-con, compared to other sources & she had a nice time
Gayle also reviewed riding Amtrak from Boston to Washington DC as the
train ride was comfortable & Yochanan commented that on his last train ride
broke down & he ended up on a bus

Howeird reviewed 'Resident Alien' as the series continues and says it's
getting more interesting, with soap opera-ish takes on parentage & family.
It has great writing & he will keep watching it as long as it's free on
Amazon Prime

we adjourned at 8:35 pm

and the rumor of the week was = 'A wretched scum of hive and villainy.
Drat, I'll come in again.'
