Happy to hear details, as I have to start another project similar as
well (this time without a VPN included: just plain LAN network)
I simply compile it myself.
In the past I used Zyxel and I compiled on the NAS itself (at least one,
then I could copy the binaries on others).
Now I mainly use QNAP: you'll need to register, get their devkit and
cross-compile on a Linux machine.
Interesting: I have QNAPs at customers as well.
