I'm going to be blunt — I'm sick and tired of all the maintenance and media-replacement issues that come with tape (and the re-run backups because the tape drive threw an error), and I'm looking to move to a different form of backup media. Possibly something comparable to RDX cartridge drives, but preferably without the price premium of actual RDX branded hardware. (Currently ~$250 for a 2TB RDX cartridge drive vs. $60 for a 2TB external USB hard drive or $50 for a 2TB internal SATA drive. And $500+ for a 4TB cartridge? Get outa here.) Oh, and also, anything USB need not apply. Too slow. I do have a perfectly good SAS controller available.
What are folks using for removable-drive backup storage, how do you have it configured in Bacula, and how well is it working out for you? I desperately need a better solution here. -- Phil Stracchino Babylon Communications ph...@caerllewys.net p...@co.ordinate.org Landline: +1.603.293.8485 Mobile: +1.603.998.6958 LSI SAS2008 _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
