Hi, You can write 500 files one at a time at full bandwidth each.
You mean one volume for all jobs., if not how can i achieve this for 500 volumes. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dimitri Maziuk" <dmaz...@bmrb.wisc.edu> To: "bacula-users" <bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net> Sent: Monday, August 21, 2017 9:56:50 PM Subject: Re: [Bacula-users] Jobs are writing to wrong volumes. Even if i create a pool for every backup job, why i still need a device for each backup job. is there a way to run a multiple backup jobs with different pool parallel on a 2 virtual device. Your bus has a finite bandwidth. You can write 500 files one at a time at full bandwidth each, or you can write 500 in parallel at 1/500th of the bandwidth each. I fail to see the practical advantage in the latter, but it's your setup of course. -- Dimitri Maziuk Programmer/sysadmin BioMagResBank, UW-Madison -- http://www.bmrb.wisc.edu ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users -- Muhasin C.M Systems Engineer R & D Assistanz Networks Pvt LTD ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Check out the vibrant tech community on one of the world's most engaging tech sites, Slashdot.org! http://sdm.link/slashdot _______________________________________________ Bacula-users mailing list Bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/bacula-users
