Welcome back, Bill: there is not much research material about this askdir.c:373 error. It's clear that something unexpected is happening with Bacula volumes searching and handling in your environment, but I have no clue. There is also a nasty network message error after this first one that I don't imagine if it's cause or consequence. Perhaps posting your SD configuration and if you could reproduce the problem with the storage daemon in debug mode, it would be helpful. Otherwise I think only Kern can provide a spiritual light on this.
