>> What's the best way to handle a removable-cartridge-drive technology >> like RDX in Bacula -- use the virtual changer...?
Hello, Josh: I set up a RDX with Bacula several years ago. I chose the option to work it like if it was a tape library (there is his option at its web console). For Bacula is much easier to set up and the transfers probably faster (but I couldn't find any document on that). The downside is you can only recycle the whole cartridge (atomic transaction, just like a tape). The customer is happy until today. Ps.: I wonder if know one ever thought of 3d printing those HD cases (for test purposes). And maybe evolve it into an open standard (Open RDX)?
